IoT Lab is an international platform providing expertise and services in digital transformation, Internet of Things (IoT), and data protection. It was created from a European research programme to bring together international experts from industry and research working on IoT technologies and digital innovation.
The organisation is headquartered in Geneva at the Biotech Campus, close to international organisations and standardisation bodies such as the ITU, ISO and IEC.
IoT Lab acts as an interface between research, industry, and public authorities, supporting companies, cities, and public administrations in the development and deployment of IoT-based digital solutions.
Its activities include technology consulting, research collaboration, IoT solution development, interoperability testing, and support for technology transfer and standardisation.
IoT Lab’s mission is to support organisations in their digital transformation by providing expertise, testing infrastructures, and collaborative platforms that accelerate the design, validation, and deployment of interoperable and secure IoT solutions, while ensuring data protection, cybersecurity, and alignment with international standards, contributing to a fully connected and sustainable digital ecosystem that drives innovation, smarter cities, and inclusive economic growth.
