Founded in 1982, FEUGA is a leading institution in Spain for the promotion of collaborative innovation. It acts as the operational arm for Galician universities (Santiago de Compostela, A Coruña, and Vigo) to transform scientific knowledge into market-ready solutions. It collaborates with over 200 companies and manages a vast portfolio of European projects (Horizon Europe, Interreg, Life).
As a Co-design Partner, FEUGA facilitates the creation of consortiums for smart city projects, circular economy initiatives, and sustainable industry. With offices in Santiago de Compostela, Vigo, A Coruña, and a permanent delegation in Brussels, it aligns local research capabilities with European Union innovation policies.
FEUGA’s mission is to foster the transfer of technology and knowledge to increase the competitiveness of the Galician productive fabric. Its vision is to become a global innovation hub capable of solving complex challenges through a Multi-Actor approach, involving researchers, companies, governments, and citizens.
FEUGA addresses the “gap” between academic research and industrial application for municipalities and private companies:
FEUGA utilizes a transdisciplinary approach and the Multi-Actor Approach (MAA). Its innovation lies in its role as an “Innovation Operating System,” orchestrating digital twins, IoT sensors, and decarbonization strategies through large-scale collaborative projects.
