How prepared are our cities for heatwaves, flash floods and rising sea levels?
Cities can no longer react to climate risks. They need to get ahead of these challenges, understand what’s at stake, and take action before problems grow.
Digital twins can play a key role in this effort.
At the Smart City Expo World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, the Urban Technology Alliance will host a session that brings together city representatives and innovators to discuss how digital twins can help cities become more resilient to climate change.
Digital Twins for Climate Resilience in Cities
When: Thursday 5 November 2026
Time: 12:20–13:05
AI X Cities Stage, Fira Barcelona
The session will include insights from cities and innovators, who will share their experiences and discuss practical ways to use digital twins to anticipate climate risks, test solutions, and make better decisions.
Who should join us?
This session is for city leaders, urban planners, policymakers, climate adaptation and resilience experts, infrastructure professionals, researchers, technology providers, and anyone working to make cities stronger against climate change.
If you are involved in your city’s climate strategy, planning new infrastructure, or looking into how digital technologies can help cities become more resilient, you will find this session valuable.
