Strategic Vision and Achivements

Bucheon’s 2nd Smart City Basic Plan (2019–2023) set a vision of ‘Bucheon — a Safe and Convenient Smart City for Citizens’. Key achievements include ICT-integrated traffic and crime-prevention CCTV networks, a city-wide data hub, and participation in the Korean government’s Smart City Challenge programme. Bucheon is one of only five cities nationally certified as a smart city by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
