Istanbul’s Smart City Vision strategy focuses on digital mobility, data-driven urban services, and smart infrastructure. Key achievements include deployment of the IETT smart transport system with real-time GPS tracking, the Istanbul Urban Management Centre (IUM) for city-wide monitoring, smart waste collection and environmental sensing networks, and the AI4LIFE smart intersection management pilot conducted in cooperation with UTA. The city is developing a next-generation urban digital twin platform.
