Atenzia is a Spanish provider of socio-health services for public administrations and private clients, specialising in tele-assistance and remote support for older and dependent people. It operated the Senior Care platform in the Santander pilot and supplied the participants from its own user network.
Headquartered in Madrid and with more than 30 years in the sector, Atenzia delivers tele-assistance and care services on behalf of public administrations across Spain. The company employs over 1,300 professionals and supports around 250,000 older and dependent people, alongside programmes for people living with chronic or mental illness and case management for victims of violence.
In the M-Sec pilot in Santander, Atenzia ran the Senior Care platform in a real production environment and drew the five participants from its existing user network, so the system was tested by the people who would operate and live with it rather than in laboratory conditions.
